7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe new principal here has torn down the gains that the previous principal made. The previous principal actually had the school on the right track and it was in the best shape it had been in since Cole left years ago. This new guy is a joke and couldn't spell competence if he tried. With the new superintendent, it's no surprise that the good principal they had resigned and moved on. She was actually vested in the children but I knew we wouldn't keep her long. Unfortunately, she was too good for the school and highly sought after by the "high performing" districts who recognized her talents. The teachers were definitely on their A game when she was there. The person who said there was a lack of leadership obviously had an issue with her zero tolerance for nonsense. That was certainly the theme I have to agree but it was much needed.Parent Review11y ago5 Reviews - Huey L Porter Middle

"Busy, the city constantly keeps growing as well as the outskirts so with the influx of people from the surrounding areas it's just busier than ever before, they have expanded some roads to adjust with traffic."

"The City of Madison hosts tons of family friendly events throughout the year at the heart of Madison...the red caboose. There are movie nights on the lawn, Halloween trunk or treat, fall festivals and a city Christmas parade to name a few..."

"We live in a sweet house with a big back yard. We do not have many neighborhood events. I am not allowed to teach piano in my neighborhood which is unfortunate. I wish they would stop building the community with so many big box businesses. "
