Stay to Robinson Middle School and not Crestdale (unless they've improved over the last 7 years). Plenty of sidewalks and bike lanes but the area could use more public transportation, ie. bus stops. GREAT shopping with high-end grocery stores, aplenty. Convenient to I-485 all around. Very clean, safe and posh in most every area. Not the 'hood up; shade tree mechanic' type of neighborhoods. Fabulous Harris YMCA with several pools including a kiddie pool and covered, picnic area. Picturesque historical, downtown Matthews with farmers' market and cool restaurants, coffee houses and great festivals throughout the seasons. Something for everyone. Love it! "
