9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had two children complete JW Adams and I have one currently in JW Adams. This is one of the best elementary education schools in the area. My children are intelligent and we do work with them at home. The two children that completed JW Adams moved into high school at a very high level was actually able to start college classes in high school. Both have graduated highschool with an advanced degree. My youngest is following in the same pattern. I feel like the staff and teachers care about the individual students and make their best effort in their education. Absent the new change in regime SPE is a wonderful school. It's unfortunately losing it's magic quickly though because of bad decisions by the local Wise Co School Board in its decision to make this woman principal over a place she doesn't belong. If they are concerned about a student, they would rather call social services and pull little kids into the principle's office; asking them questions which have nothing to do with their health and well being. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an okay school. 5th grade is SUPER fun, but there aren't really clubs. 6th grade does have things like band or chorus, but it's not a grade you want to be in. 7th and 8th grade are both cool. I like how you get P.E. everyday and you can take certain classes, like woodshop or keyboarding. The library barely has books, lunch ladies are mean, some teachers yell at you.
