8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son has special needs has been through many schools during his elementary school years. He is excelling at Copper Beech and happy to go to school for the first time. He loves all of his teachers, but his special ed teachers are especially caring and involved in his education. He had a bullying incident at one point. We weren't happy at all with how the school dealt with it (we weren't made aware of it until we saw injuries and asked), but they did respond in a way that was fair to both our son and the bully once we confronted them. We do feel like parents could be a bit more involved in the classroom. Our other son goes to a different school in Abington and parents are invited to help with parties and activities, but I've never received this type of invitation from Copper Beech. It would be nice if parents could be more involved with celebrations during school rather than just fundraisers after school.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Abington Senior High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAttending Abington was one of the most formative and valuable experiences of my life. It’s easy to overlook how special a public school can be until you realize how much it shaped who you became. This school didn’t just provide a solid academic foundation—it fostered independence, confidence, and curiosity. The teachers were deeply invested in their students, not just academically but personally. They challenged us to think critically, to speak clearly, and to take ownership of our growth. There was a sense that the faculty truly cared about preparing students for the real world, not just helping them pass exams.Equally important was the environment. The student body was diverse, grounded, and real. It wasn’t an artificial bubble—it reflected life. That experience taught resilience, perspective, and how to connect with people from all backgrounds.Looking back, I can confidently say this school played a major role in my success, both professionally and personally. It gave me the tools, discipline, and mindset to navigate the world effectively. I’m genuinely grateful for the education and experience I received here, and I would strongly recommend it to any student or parent looking for a place that develops capable, thoughtful, and well-prepared young adults.Parent Review4mo ago9 Reviews - Abington Junior High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is fine. The recent reviews are obviously maniplulative to sway voters. The middle school is not a horrible atmosphere for learning according to my daughter. She does not go full time but I am sure if it was so bad, she would also be affected. I think 99% of the complaints are vague and a serious lack of gratitude at play. As an immigrant I have attended schools worst off and it did/does not affect out education! I can understand a school needing repairs and wanting updates. But a school does not cost quarter or a billion dollars to build!!! The idea of a new school is about keeping up appearances.Parent Review1y ago21 Reviews - Check out schools near 663 Maple Ave.

"I can walk to a park I can walk up to a couple of restaurants I am close to Chestnut Hill full of shops and cafés I can walk to a park I can walk up to a couple of restaurants I am close to Chestnut Hill full of shops and cafés. School district is excellent academic college focused high school. Very small high school low in diversity. You have to drive a little far to get to bigger shopping. Very quiet. Since it’s so close to Philadelphia it is very expensive to buy a house here for the size of the house."
