We have a fifth grader and a 2nd grader at Oakview and we’ve had a wonderful experience since my 5th grader started his Kindergarten here. The teachers are the best and were also hands on with the technology during Virtual learning. The Parent community brings in the best assemblies , fun events for the kids as well as teachers throughout the year and so much more . We have a new Principal since last year who introduced Student Council, Diversity events as well as multiple clubs ( Chess club is our fav ) and an Afterschool Explorers program which has fantastic options like Robotics , cooking , fitness , and many more for both my kids. We as parents love the diversity at Oakview , the amazing staff , and the kind and committed families who we got to know over the years.

"Summer concerts, fireworks and seasonal art/craft shows, soccer, base/softball, dog park, huge new children’s playground, track & field venues, tennis and walking paths are easily found in the 30 acre conveniently located Brookdale county park. Not to mention the public golf course and a plethora of downtown events and sidewalk celebrations. This is a very diverse and welcoming community."

"Recently purchased a home in the Brookdale section of Bloomfield. Very nice neighborhood which offers transportation to N.Y.C by bus to Port Authority. There are many different types of restaurants to choose from, including grocery stores which are walkable. The neighbors are friendly. Great neighborhood for children."
