3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, I hold high expectations for both the academic rigor and the overall environment of my child’s school, and John F. Kennedy High School has consistently met those expectations. The school demonstrates a strong commitment to student achievement through structured coursework, clear expectations, and responsive instructional support.Equally important is the school’s emphasis on safety and belonging. The administration and staff maintain a well-managed campus where students are held accountable while also being supported. Communication with families is consistent and transparent, which reinforces trust. In addition, the range of extracurricular opportunities—including athletics, clubs, and college-preparatory pathways—allows students to develop beyond the classroom. This holistic approach ensures that students graduate not only academically prepared but also socially and emotionally equipped for post-secondary success.Parent Review3mo ago8 Reviews - Traylor Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have to children at this school. My son is now in 5th grade and my daughter in 1st. Both started in ECE. I really like the staff here and I feel they do a good job with providing the kids an education. Some years have been better than others, but overall, I think it is a good school and would recommend it to someone looking for a school with a supportive staff with good values.Parent Review7y ago9 Reviews - Strive Prep - Federal Campus

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had my reservations about sending my daughter to this school because of the 2 out of 10 it received on this website. Once I realized that the academic rating is for K-12 and that the elementary level has much better scoring than that, I felt more comfortable. A few things that I love about this school. First, my daughter is able to do dance, drama, art, and music at school. It is less time away from home in the evenings because I don't have to put her in outside classes. Secondly, the teachers at this school (speaking at the elementary level) are outstanding. I've been so impressed with their level of commitment to helping all of the children excel. My child was already reading when she started kindergarten, but they have been wonderful about differentiating for her and others, and they have a great gifted and talented teacher who works with the kids as well.Last of all, the elementary level principal is awesome! She collaborates with teachers and parents and is constantly working to improve the school (on all levels. i.e. teaching, data, culture). This school has a great community feel and gives great academic opportunities as well as art-filled experiences.Parent Review10y ago9 Reviews - Bear Valley International School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended last year and so glad we left for another school. There are parents we talked to that still has their child going to this school and nothing has changed. New principal same result so far. Bullying is still rampant. Student body disrespectful to teachers. Per source numerous fights weekly with latest bigger kid beating up a little kid. Teacher tied to stop it, then big kid punches the teacher. Wow just wow. You can't fix bad students with parents who don't care. Sadly this school needs to consider shutting down again.Parent Review3y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near 6602 W Eldorado Pl.

"There are really great parks, especially Belmar, where there is music, other events, the public library, an outdoor museum with old buildings, tons of wildlife and many trails to walk on. “Downtown” Belmar is nice too. Needs more restaurants though, especially on the plaza where Baker Street used to be. "

"I visit family every week here and it's a nice and quiet place. I have really enjoyed how peaceful it is in this neighborhood and I would like to stay. It's just getting expensive and I can't afford to pay for everything. I just hope I find something else just as nice or better."

"Not a lot makes my neighborhood unique outside of a few lucky families owning small farms. It's pretty much just like every other neighborhood that the transplants haven't developed just yet so us working class locals can somewhat afford to live here. There are gunshots, dumpy abandoned cars and the occasional loose dog but I'll take that over the neighborhoods filled with giant apartment complexes and Californians "

"Belmar Park is 135 acres of natural beauty and wildlife. Plus, the heritage center and outdoor museum, and the amphitheater with concerts and movies. Plus cider days and other events at the park. And Camp Christmas! It’s close to Belmar shopping district, and I love that too. Close to I70 and downtown. "

"You see dog owners and myself walking dogs often. The dogs are welcome in most everywhere I have traveled with mine. (I can't say there has been anywhere she has not been welcome). I think as long as they are not aggressive you would be able to take them most places with enthusiasm. Even eateries. "

"This neighborhood is an older, blue-collar area that feels safe. A lot of residents own dogs and take good care of them (use a leash, pick up waste, etc.). There is lots of good food delivery options and is close to Belmar retail shopping center. 15 minutes to downtown Denver and 15 minutes to foothills. "

"This neighborhood is safe, quiet, near great hiking trails, and has lots of friendly people who help each other out. There are two kind gentlemen who shovel the entire neighborhood's sidewalk every time it snows, and even shovel nearby folks driveways. I can't rave enough about how amazing the neighbors are this area. There's no HOA but everyone keeps their houses/lawns decently aesthetic. Lastly, Arizona Place and the surrounding neighborhoods back up to a high school, so you will always see people out walking their dogs. I would highly recommend Lakewood/Green mountain as a place to live, own dogs, raise children, and enjoy nature. "
