7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy three children went from K through Grade 12 and received an outstanding education. They all got into great colleges, were very well prepared, and graduated in four years or less to go on to solid careers in different industries. They still talk about their favorite teachers. The schools were a main reason we moved to Randolph and we were never disappointed.Parent Review5mo ago14 Reviews - Fernbrook Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to Fernbrook Elementary School. She was reading Harry Potter before it went mainstream. The school counselor and administration called a conference with us to discuss their concern about her being involved in witchcraft. Anything slightly left of center is intolerable for these people. I also witnessed adults (yes, adults) mocking a special needs child in a school performance. If you want nurtured, creative learning find another school.Parent Review2y ago7 Reviews - Randolph Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of the best things at this school is the principal. Most teachers do very little to actually help. They are not proactive if you do not push them. There are a couple of good ones but unfortunately not the norm. If your child has a IEP forget it. On the elementary school level this school system is great but when you get to the middle school it is all down hill. Fortunately we have friends that are teachers and have helped guid us through what we need to be asking for and what should be offered to us.Parent Review5y ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near 66 Knickerbocker Ave.

"Work from home most of the time. Otherwise it’s 30 minutes, 45 min with traffic. It’s acceptable for living in such a beautiful town!"

"It is an established lake community, great if you have a young family or school aged kids. If you homeschool or are an empty nester, it is a costly place to live. Public transit is non existent. No sidewalks in Shongum Lake area. Easy access to I-80 and I-287."

"I’ve lived in Randolph for 31 years, my husband for his entire life of 58 years. Since we live on a main thoroughfare, traffic noise is an issue. Also, we don’t get trick or treaters on Halloween. We are only close to one of our neighbors and plan to move in the next year."

"There is a dog park. There are trails to walk or jog and dogs on leash are permitted. Neighborhoods that are off main thoroughfare are dog friendly and I often see people walking their dogs."

"The Shongum Lake community has access to weekly events in season, swim team & lessons, boating, fishing & affinity groups throughout the year. Walkable neighborhoods with friendly people. Wonderful trails nearby for short and longer distance hikes amidst beautiful wooded hills & ponds. Unlimited dining choices in the area too! We have lived here for 14+ years & enjoyed meeting people & families of all ages. "
