This is a very good school i'm a student their now and one of the top students in the school. The Board do focus on basketball alot but the teachers comes to work everyday and do their jobs. The only problem is the students behavior and that reflects the parents not the school.

You'll be lucky to get a teacher that cares and is respectful. The ELA teacher can't even form a proper sentence. This school is a joke. They hand out participation grades, don't pay attention to what is actually being taught to the kids, and honestly care more about going to lunch than taking care of their responsibilities. The teachers talk over you during parent/teacher conferences and do not address any questions or concerns. The PowerPoint presentations they use for the kids look like a 5 year put it together at 2am. If you actually want your child(ren) to have any sort of quality education, this is NOT the place to go.Do not walk, run from this school and any school in this county.

On February 15, 2023, I attended a Mathi Gras event inside the Middle School lunchroom that was full of decorations, New Orleans music, high energy and plenty of hands on STEM Activities for all who attended over a two hour period. This was a hugely successful event and many thanks go out to all who made this happen from Principal Tiffany Crockett, Academic Coach, Interventionist, Teachers and Support Staff!! Extremely proud to know that our kids are profiting in a fun, learning environment!!
