I cannot adequately express how awful my wife and I found this school to be. We have pulled our daughter out of there. She was continually harassed by students AND staff. She was subjected to searches of her person and belongings ~10 times in 2 years and was never found to have any illicit items on her but yet the unfounded searches continued UNABATED. My wife and I corresponded with the administrative staff at that school numerous times to no avail and NO APOLOGY given. The staff working there should be ashamed of themselves. We know our daughter isn't perfect, but the treatment she was subjected to there certainly did NOT HELP. Don't send your kids here!!!

This school year most of the teachers are brand new, straight out of college. Before a lot of the teachers weren't very good at teaching and just here, "Here's your laptop, read the assignment on google docs and do it." Now there is much more interaction with the students. We can't tell really how much better the teaching will be yet, but it has definitely improved on that respect. One problem a lot of the system has is that it does emphasize too much on sports no matter what season it is (soccer, basketball, or baseball/softball). The students regularly get taken out of school to go to away games several hours away or even practice just outside of the school. They also have the new 1-4 grading system that doesn't prepare anyone for life beyond school with almost no deadlines. The school also tries to integrate special needs students with regular learning students, and most of the time this really doesn't help anyone. There have only been problems. Almost everyday we have "code greens" go off, which means a special needs student needs restraining. It is improving though, it's just taking longer than anyone is expecting.
