If you're searching for a really nice place in the old part of Reno, look no further. This gem sits on a quiet, shady street in a friendly neighborhood, literally minutes walking distance from the river and downtown. The duplex is all-brick and is well cared for and much loved. The floorplan includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, full bath and basement equipped with washer and dryer. The kitchen just received a $40k remodel/restoration with all new appliances, glass-door cabinets, full tile counters and vintage linoleum flooring.

The house has full landscaping with lush, well maintained front and back yards. Parking is never a problem.

The neighborhood itself is like stepping back in time. Most of the homes were built in the 1920's-1940's, with a wide variety of architectural styles represented. The streets are quiet and narrow and many are one-way to deter too much traffic. Neighbors are friendly and get along well, often outside visiting or working on their yards. Marsh Avenue is still blocked off once a year for the 40+ annual block party. All in all, you'd be hard pressed to find a peaceful, friendlier place to live.

The old southwest is one of the Reno's oldest and most desirable neighborhoods, best represented by how long people stay. Many neighbors have been living on Marsh Ave. for 30+ years, with some living in their original family home. Even tenants choose to make it their long-term home and stay for many years, if not decades.
