  • Elaine G.
"Plympton is a gret litttle town to live in. The elementary school has an average of 16 children per classroom and the teachers are able to do a lot with the class being so small. Great horse area. No restrictions or land requirements to have horses. Very, very freindly twon. Neighbors are their when you need them and stay out of your business. Town goverment is very efficiently run. Police and fire department are well trained and freindly to the residents. I love this town."
  • Stephanie O. l.
"Plympton has been my hometown since 1994, and this little rural community - 1 hour south of Boston - is a hidden gem. The town as a whole has an "Olde New England" feel to it with small farms and cranberry bogs nestled amidst wooded house lots on winding country roads. The town population is small (just over 2,800 people as of 2012), and area wildlife includes turkeys, possums, raccoons, foxes, turtles, and even herons. The town center is also small with just a handful of businesses, but 2 supermarkets, a CVS, a small Walmart and easy access to Routes 44 and 3 are only minutes away (with transportation.) There is no public transportation, but outdoorsy types can also easily reach these destinations by bike. The town recently voted to develop a large area of land for use as a public park, so that will be an additional amenity for the town in years to come. Our only school, Dennett Elementary, was totally rebuilt a few years back to upgrade the building and eliminate the electric heating system, and is now a happy, vibrant place that also has manicured sports fields. The Historical Society is active, as well the the Garden Club, and assorted small fairs and fundraisers are held throughout the year. If you love peace, quiet, and the country life, Plympton might be the town you've been looking for."
