4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy student has been experiencing some teenage problems. After having a fight at school he was able to jump out the school bus window and run away. He hasn’t been home in weeks in fear of going to juvenile. After encouragement from peers and family he tried to arrive at school on a Monday in which there was no resource officer. The administrator instead of contacting a first responder dhhs or parent instead intimidated the child by confronting him about running away. He then ran away from her leaving the school without a trace. She admitted that it is not the schools normal protocol but was instead her judgment call because of what she knew about the circumstances. She said normally they would let the child go to class then contact the proper officials. We haven’t seen our son in weeks. He made a mistake but he’s a Child and also walked to come back to school. The process could have been handled better on the adults end which was apologized for by the administrator but now our son still is scared to go to school or home.Parent Review5mo ago - Omaha Northwest Magnet High School
