This year there is a rule requiring clear backpacks, and I did bring one—but it broke. I only have 2 months left before I graduate, so why should I have to buy a new one? I don’t even have anyone to help me get one.When I brought my bag to school, both the AP and the AP secretary saw it and didn’t say anything. Even during random classroom checks, no one said anything. But suddenly today, during a random bus backpack check, they said my bag was too big. What is going on?And then they told me that at the end of the day (around 2:35–3:00 PM), a parent has to come pick it up. Sorry, but not everyone has that kind of free time.

Kids get bullied there all the time and teachers and counselors don't do anything about it.

I attended this school from Pre-k to Fifth Grade( 2006-2012) and this school has changed my life. At the time I was in school, I thought I would never, ever need to know anything we learned, but was I wrong. I am in high school (10th grade) and I am still using some of the methods in Collins to answer my tests and quizzes. Collins taught me how to answer in full sentence, how to break down a word problem, how to not be afraid to ask a question, and to never give up when things are getting tough. The teachers then were strict but taught ever kid in their own individual way. I am so happy to have attended a wonderful school. This school teaches your child, gives them confidence, and gives them a good foundation in the rest of their educational years (and beyond). I wish the best for this school and hope any parent questioning this school to think about it. Invest in your child's future and you won't regret it.

Alief Taylor = Crowded. The students will carry you to your next class. Just not in five minutes. Staff: great staff members, probably the best. Teachers: easygoing and friendly, can be unorganized sometimes. Classes: Non-intensive work. Not easy to find rooms Sports: very well done Students: student body (can) be obnoxious and misbehaved Lunch: Not well suited for highschool level. Conclusion: ok school with little to no gang violence. Sometimes you feel like your not in the right grade. Needs more seniors in the classroom. Lunch needs to be upgraded for highschool students. Better and more organized. Variety of food, and costly choices needs to be provided.

AECHS is like no other. You will never find another principal like Dr. Brotherton. We are family and I am forever thankful for the opportunities that AECHS provides.

This school is generally very good, although there are some teachers (1-2) that don't support students well when asking for help-- the opposite of the environment a teacher should create.
