7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been going to this school since Kindergarten, and I have noticed that this school has not one black staff member, which is bothersome. My daughter is in 5th grade now and has voiced that she no longer wants to go to school because one of the teachers in her class has been targeting her. Being rude and nasty to my daughter! I have asked two other students which are my daughters friends have they witnessed the teacher targeting my daughter, in which they both confirmed. I don’t believe black children at this school are equally educated as the white children, nor do black children have the proper resources. I have also reached out to the superintendent via email and phone call, and never received a follow up email nor call back in regards to my concerns! I am looking into relocating my daughter.Parent Review3y ago6 Reviews - J.R. Lowell Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is nothing special about this school or its approach to learning. It is a very diverse school in terms of student diversity, economics, family values. Some parents seem very engaged while some have no involvement at all. The PTO at this school badly needs new faces and friendly faces too. Some on the PTO are not at all parent friendly. There are some behavior issues with students and that makes classroom learning difficult. I am a mom to 3 children and could never recommend Watertown Public Schools to anyone.Parent Review7y ago13 Reviews - Watertown High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWow, the reviews of WHS were so poor that I felt obligated to leave a review. I had an extremely positive experience at WHS and I felt incredibly prepared for college. I attend an Ivy League university and my peers and I feel better prepared than some of my Peers from Nobles, BB&N, Milton, Philips Andover, Choate, etc. WHS offers an excellent selection of AP classes with amazing teachers, if you think your child is not well prepared (which so many are not) it is a reflection on them not the school. There is a very large amount of students who put minimal effort into class and therefore get nothing out of it, perform poorly on the SAT, and have trouble being accepted into universities. There is also a cohort of students who truly value their education and make the most of their experience at WHS and go on to great universities. Students and parents need to take some initiative and stop blaming the school for their own shortcomings. Thank you to all my teachers at WHS for providing me with the best education and experience I could have asked for.Other Review2y ago6 Reviews - Watertown Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExtremely biased school. Admins choose sides along with the teachers, where they'll basically target any child they don't like and face no repercussions. Terrible at handling issues, fights, and not to mention when a child made a KILL LIST WITH OVER 40 CHILDREN ON IT! No action was taken, the student remains in the Watertown district and instead of taking action the child was given an entire club to support them. I've seen multiple examples of racism mainly in the teachers. Students who fall behind receive no help. Besides that, the psychological/mental support side of the school is very well handled. Counselors are very supportive and respectful. Lots of fights, majority of them kept under wraps by either the school or by students.Other Review5mo ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near 64 Spring St.

"Everyone is in bed by 9pm. It’s eerily quiet at night. I hardly ever see my neighbors. Not even the ones that live in my apartment. "
