Description

Yes Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus! And he's found the perfect home for you! 636 Weaver Loop is our newest show cased home in historic Georgetown, South Carolina part of "The Hammock Coast". If Low Country is your style then you're sure to fall in love here! Situated on a huge 1.7 acre corner lot just outside of the city limits with no HOA, three outbuildings (one of which was previously used as a horse stable), and yes, you can join the chicken coop trend if that's your thing. The front yard boasts a tremendous circular driveway, beautiful live oak trees and a 52' covered front porch that will become your new relaxation spot. You'll love the vaulted ceilings, open floor plan, plantation shutters and the lodge feel of this home with hardwood floors throughout the living area, pine molding and trim work, wood burning fireplace and exposed staircase. There is a formal dining area and the kitchen has two breakfast bars with wood counter tops, breakfast nook and a sunny roll out bay window. The floor plan has three bedrooms, two and a half baths plus the upstairs 22' x 16' bonus room which could be used as a fourth bedroom. The front two bedrooms have good closet spaces and share a jack and jill style bathroom plus the huge laundry room is located away from the living areas and close to all of the bedrooms. The owner's suite has doors leading out to the back porch, walk-in closet, jetted tub, walk-in shower and double sink vanity. Outside you will enjoy the screened porch and the over sized patio, and a fenced area. The neighborhood is also located close to historic Georgetown waterfront Harbor Walk, shopping, wonderful restaurants, fresh seafood vendors, multiple public boat launches for quick saltwater fishing and access to five rivers that surround the area with an easy drive to Pawleys Island, the closest public beach access. Situated on the south side of Georgetown and approximately 45 minutes south to Mount Pleasant - a quiet drive towards Charleston - easy commute to and from work. *Buyer responsible for verifying home and lot square footage.

"It’s a historic area, the second oldest port in the state of South Carolina. The streets are lined with live oak trees that never go bear. They shed their leaves a little bit in February. But it’s beautiful and green on every street all year round. I love trees more than anything. So this makes this place happen to me. Although living in a small town, it can get quite gossipy so I do keep to myself. At least when it comes to the important stuff. But in general, everyone here is very friendly. And when hurricanes happen people work together to help each other."
  • Trulia User
"Very cozy neighborhood. Extremely quiet. No guard gate so can be accessed by public. About 5-10 minutes from the main part of time. "
  • Kimyoung4288
"Great small town with a good sense of community. The people are super friendly and helpful. Plenty of local bars and restaurants to enjoy gorgeous water views. Lots of fresh local seafood. Just a good layed back place to live life."
  • Lynnannwilliams75
"Lots of dogs and people walking them. Most people are cool and clean up 😁very friendly and welcoming here! Especially in the historic district. "
  • Anneluvs2sing
"Great family neighborhood. People are friendly. Close to stores and Georgetown water front. Quiet community. "
  • Kevin
"Very friendly area. I live in Georgetown county but outside of the city limits. I work for the hospital system. I find most people in the area are friendly and will offer help if asked. As we do also. "
  • Lynnannwilliams75
"Great neighborhood! So beautiful and everyone is super friendly! And the trees that line the streets stay green year round. Heaven!"
  • Kevinr.ayres
"The public school system isn’t as desirable in our area. Our children attended private school. Medical institutions are easily accessible from dialysis, cardiac care to oncology. We are located centrally between Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Florence. Many restaurants and retail shopping available. "
  • CJ
"You see people regularly walking their dogs with the whole family. Sometimes stopping to chat with neighbors. Very friendly"
  • Annehowellscott
"We all take very good care of our landscaping and we have beautiful street lights. It’s a safe neighborhood we all have high end alarm systems with cameras. "
  • A p. l.
"You have to be careful about dogs being out unattended. There are not many dogs in my neighborhood many people stay moving."
  • Teresa a. K.
"People walk their dogs all the time. They would be welcomed here. Private and quiet, very familiar my and pet oriented. "
  • Annehowellscott
"We have swim in movie nights. Set up the big screen outside and swim while watching a movie. Great street with good neighbors."
  • Kathy B.
"It’s a private and secluded beach where the world disappears. its quiet and beautiful with ocean sunrises and marsh sunsets. My only complaint is the new sand brought in for ‘renourishment’. It’s taken the soft sand, gentle on your feet and replaced it with large, jagged shells; impossible for walking. "
  • Edergraves
"The Historic District of Georgetown is a special place. We can walk to the waterfront, the park, the shops and restaurants. And the neighbors have welcomed us so genuinely. We feel like locals already!"
  • TYRONE O. W.
"I live here in love this town I one of the best town to live in. Schools are great. I love my family my kids my church family an friend"
  • Starr S.
"Marina Village is in the private, gated community of Belle Isle Yacht Club, and situated on the banks of Winyah Bay. A hidden jewel, yet convenient to shopping and restaurants in Georgetown -- only 10 minutes by boat or car."
