Great Brook provided the most amazing middle school experience for our son. As everyone knows, middle school can be a brutal time for kids, but the experience at Great Brook is different. We moved to the area when our son started 6th grade, and the students and staff at GBS were so welcoming, it really made the transition easy for him. He made friends on day one and the teachers and staff all remembered him from when he toured the school the previous spring. He is graduating 8th grade this year and has achieved more here than at his past schools. The curriculum is amazing, they really try and round out each child's education and have a variety of "specials" like home-ec, industrial arts, and more. The sports programs are inclusive and well-rounded, with a variety of sports offered all three seasons. Every single person working in this building is passionate about helping kids and it really shows. I cannot recommend this school enough!!

The administration and teachers don't just lecture; they partner with parents and students to map out a future. I’ve been particularly impressed by how they handle challenges. Even when kids "aren’t doing the right thing," the staff works to help them find their way back on track rather than just writing them off. It’s about growth, not just discipline.Safety is a top priority here, and the addition of a School Resource Officer (SRO) has been a positive move. The SRO provides a steady, safe presence that allows the kids to focus on their studies without worry. Furthermore, I have been deeply heartened by the school's huge effort to support social-emotional health. They recognize that teenagers today face unique pressures, and the resources put toward mental and emotional well-being show that the school cares about our kids as people, not just test scores.If you want a school that balances high-level academics with real-world career training and a supportive, safe environment, ConVal is an excellent choice.

Pierce Elementary School strives to give students a safe, fun, and rigorous learning experience. Through community partnerships and family involvement, the school promotes building strong connections and involvement to increase student learning opportunities. Pierce Elementary School offers hands-on learning opportunities for students through programs like outdoor learning initiatives. Pierce encourages community involvement and works with neighboring organizations such as the Cornucopia Project to teach students about science through their school gardens, and the Harris Center, which educates students about outdoor wildlife and life cycles. The educators at Pierce Elementary School strive to communicate clearly and frequently with families, build strong ties with the community, and increase student rigor in all subjects. Students get what they need to be successful, they have various afterschool clubs and field trips available throughout the year, all to increase students' love of learning.
