Our family had a wonderful experience at Marana Middle School. Both of my boys attended MMS and truly thrived — academically and athletically — because of the opportunities and support they received during their time there.One thing we especially appreciated was how the school provided meaningful enrichment experiences that helped students grow in confidence and independence. Both of my children had the opportunity to attend Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) and the Washington, D.C. trip, and those experiences were unforgettable and educational.Academically, the school also offered strong coursework and opportunities for students who are ready for a challenge. Both of my boys were able to take accelerated classes and earn high school credit for Math and Spanish while still in middle school, which gave them a huge advantage and helped them enter high school prepared.Both of my children are thriving in high school, and we truly believe the foundation they received at Marana Middle School played a big role in that success. We are very grateful for the teachers, staff, and programs that helped our kids grow and succeed.

Horrible staff, dirty campus, invade privacy, lazy teachers

Desert Winds really cares about their students. They always go the extra mile to help where they can. I have not had a negative interaction with anyone there. They encourage parent involvement, feedback and really show a "can do" attitude. I pulled my children from another MUSD school that was much more convenient for them to attend, and now commute to Desert Winds which is at least a 15 minute drive for me. I can't say enough positive things about this school.
