About this House

In 1955, when 64th Avenue still went by Model Road and Commerce City was just finding its footing, someone laid up this brick ranch to last. Seven decades on it has held its lines, and the heavy lifting is already done: a new roof, new HVAC, new gutters, and a new roof on the garage mean the bones are sorted, leaving only the fun part, the cosmetics that let you make it your own. Inside are three main-level bedrooms, a full bath, a living room, a separate family room, and a kitchen, 1,064 square feet on a single easy level with no stairs to negotiate. Forced-air heat and central air keep it comfortable year round. The real surprise is outside. The lot runs 8,253 square feet with no HOA dictating what you do with it, and the extended driveway parks six vehicles in front of a detached two-car garage, so there is finally room for the truck, the trailer, the boat, and the project car all at once. That kind of space is hard to find this close to the city. The neighborhood is original Commerce City, established and unpretentious, with Pioneer Park and its ball fields and batting cages just up the road on Holly. A few minutes east lies the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, more than 15,000 acres of prairie, lakes, and trails where bison roam and bald eagles nest, one of the largest urban refuges in the country, with Barr Lake State Park and its eagle nests a short drive northeast. Vasquez Boulevard and I-270 put downtown Denver about fifteen minutes south and DIA roughly twenty minutes east, with Dick's Sporting Goods Park and the Colorado Rapids right here in town. Adams 14 schools include Central Elementary, Kearney Middle, and Adams City High. At this price it is a rare entry into a detached single-family home with a garage and land, no shared walls and no monthly dues. Solid brick, fresh systems, a big lot, and zero HOA. Bring the paint and the vision, the house has already taken care of the rest. PROPERTY SOLD AS-IS.

"Ugh itโ€™s ok I guess. Iโ€™ve lived in Denver since I was 10 yrs old and commerce city has always been commerce city, but of course like everywhere else in Denver people have moved here and made things different"

    "BBQโ€™s / Halloween lights contest / Christmas lights contest / garage sales / friendly neighborhood / "
  • M.M.
"As a native I love the Colorado weather one side of the street snowing and the other sunny. You can count on every night theirs a sunset, spectacular! I like taking it in, right by the great Mile High flea market, looking west off of the overpass of 76 th, the romance of the sun setting here never gets old. neighborhood at its core feels like family, because it is. At the same time their are quiet and clear understanding of,โ€ask first and just be frankโ€, then go lay down, at each mans home as his or her castle. Treat things as such, and much can be given and forgiven. When it comes to having a places to go, things to do, close to the commons of Commerce city, is Northfield, with its movies eats and out door shopping, a coffeehouse where you take a painting class, Daveโ€™s barbecue and I hop pancakes, some of my favโ€™s, but this whole area and the Quebec striped is always a way to go! From 58th and in every direction Commerce to Denver, Capital Hill to the Rockies pitching, and West, nothing but Rockies , Mountain! Coming from, a natural cowboy, Colorado creative, moon gazer, Peace!"
  • Vrebeccae90

  • Justin W.
