About this House

Month to Month Lease/ Utilities Separate/ I pay Sewer and Basic Wifi
Furnished or Unfurnished in Old Mill Area
Room for Rent in Spacious New Home on a large 1 acre lot (Built 2023) Quiet, Safe Neighborhood

I'm offering a comfortable back bedroom (12'6" x 11'4") in a beautiful 2,600 sq ft home on one acre, built in August 2023. The room is quiet, dog-free, and includes a mini fridge. You'll have a detached shared bathroom with double sinks, and one sink w/ 1 cab/ 3 drawers is for your exclusive use. Additional shared fridge/freezer space is available in the kitchen and the garage, large shelf in pantry for you and 1 shelf in the hall linen closet. Storing a bike in the garage is totally fine and room for a Kayak or SUP in the gated side yard.

The home has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a laundry room, and plenty of parking. We're located just 1 mile from Old Mill, close to Walmart and Fred Meyer, and within walking distance of the river. The canal and Deschutes River trails are right nearby, and it's only about 3 minutes to Century Drive, perfect for anyone heading up to Mt. Bachelor for ski season.

You'll be sharing the home with three women over 40 and two sweet female dogs (your room is dog-free). The household is clean, respectful, and laid-back.

Room for rent:
Month to month lease, $1000.00 a mo rent, 125.00 utilities flat fee, Trash and Basic Wifi included. 700.00 deposit.
If you need to charge your EV or run an electric fireplace or run a air unit in the summer, that is an additional 30.00 - 40.00 per item. Been there, done that, it gets expensive.
We ask that you be neat, considerate, and willing to help with light shared tasks cleaning common areas on rotation, taking out trash bins, shoveling the walkway in winter, and picking up pine cones in spring/summer. Really, just cleaning up after yourself and contributing fairly is all we expect.

This is not a party house, but we do enjoy occasional low-key weekend hangouts having a couple drinks, sharing food, playing games, watching movies, or listening to music. Weeknights are generally quiet after 9:30 PM. Two of us work full-time, and one is retired and mostly keeps to herself.

420 is okay outdoors. No smoking inside, ever. Heavy drinking or any drug use beyond 420 is not tolerated and will result in ending the rental.

Application, background check, and references required (via Zillow, paid by applicant).

"We have lived in this neighborhood for about six years and we really love this great little pocket neighborhood. We love the community path that leads down to the Old Mill and the fact that we're so close to downtown and 97. It's a surprisingly quiet spot considering how central it is. I love to ride my bike down to the Deschutes River Trail, the Canal Trail, downtown and to other areas of the city."
