I moved to Ballwin and bought a home largely because of the strong ratings and reputation of the Parkway School District. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite of what I expected.From an academic standpoint to concerns about bias and the way disabilities are handled, it has been extremely disappointing. When I first heard the district refer to students as having “abilities,” I thought it reflected a supportive and inclusive environment. Sadly, that has not been my experience.What I’ve learned is that if you are not a very involved parent and documenting everything, situations can easily be misrepresented or overlooked. And when concerns are raised, it often feels like the system protects itself rather than truly addressing the issues.It’s unfortunate, because families move here believing in the reputation of the schools. I hope that one day the system will better support and listen to the students and families it serves. I do not recommend this school or district. No one will help you, not the school or district.
