My experience at this school was mostly negative. A lot of the teachers seemed burnt out and uninterested in teaching, which made learning harder. Most students clearly hated being there, and the overall atmosphere felt very unmotivating. The staff, especially in the mornings and in the front office, were often rude and unapproachable. It also takes an unreasonable amount of time just to get into the school, which causes many students to be late or miss their first or even second period. I rarely had teachers who actually taught the material, instead, many would just hand out packets and tell us to figure it out on our own. On top of that, the principal frequently interrupts classes with announcements that disrupt learning, usually just to express disappointment or make unnecessary comments or jokes. There are a lot of issues overall, but most of them come from problems within the district.

Prior to Fowler Elementary, my children attended schools in Georgetown ISD. Aside from a handful of teachers, I had trouble when it came to meeting my children's special needs. At Fowler, I saw a huge difference. Teachers were involved from every grade level, and would be accessible for any questions. The front desk ladies were always so courteous and helpful and would express concern if your child wasn't registered the following year. The assistant principals and counselors showed much love to my children and gave me advice on my son's bullying situation. The SPED team was a big help and involved me in every step of the 504's and IEP's. You can see the heart that every person has for these students. At this year's 5th grade graduation, we were all surprised at how many students had received the Presidential Awards. A lot of the students also received many other awards. This school is so big on parent involvement. Parents stay involved in your child's education, it really makes a big difference. Thank you for your dedication Fowler Bulldogs!!
