I do wish that although Pidgin English is part of being Kama’aina that they would promote the speaking of better English. I don’t think they should discourage speaking it, but emphasize the importance of learning how to speak properly if not for anything else to increase English comprehension and prepare them for college. "I commute to town from pupukea. Luckily I work off hours so the traffic isn’t bad. If you’re working in town normal hours, be prepared to sit in H1 traffic. Other than that turtle traffic is not the worst, just a little slow most times."
