4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I could give 0 stars I would without hesitation! My daughter's first day of school the librarian was VERY rude to her, yelling at her. Its not my daughters fault they have old broken Chromebooks!! The amount of kids stating that they self harm is very alarming also. The craziest thing is they talk openly about it and the kids all laugh at each other. While the teacher listens laughing at them. No thank you i withdrew my kid the second week there. Run from this place fast!Parent Review2y ago - Degrazia Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers openly say they do not like their jobs. Kids with poor or bizarre behavior are treated as just being "different but good kids" Moral is low, student council is poorly run.Parent Review7mo ago - A. C. E.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a school for kids who are being punished within the Marana School District. Any kid referred here has already been singled out by their high school's administrators who have probably already called ahead to "warn" ACE about the student, so they really can't get a fair shot. The staff treats the kids like criminals, so that's how the kids act and that's how they end up feeling about themselves. There are several free charter schools or online schools in the area where kids are treated with respect that are much better choices. A.C.E. staff treats kids like the expect them to fail, so they often end up doing just that. Don't ever send your kid here, go with a charter school and put all the drama and administration incompetence behind you!Parent Review10y ago - Marana Distance Learning

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe travel so kids had no choice to be enrolled, I think the kids get a better education, communication is key, but if things go astray teacher will attempt. To get in contract with student. They seem to be making improvements, when we started ours kids were instructed to do apprpxmately an hour per course per day, they now show on the sigh on whether they have. Late items etc, big improvement for parents, we get weekly updates for our kids in grades and time completed in the past week.Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 6068 W Paseo Hilario.

"I see a lot of people walking their dogs . it seems like a really animal friendly community and I also know that if a resident in marana has a pet that gets out the local police do their best to find the animals owners before they call the actual dog catcher . "

"I live in Avra Valley. It’s about 30 min drive to the nearest Walmart. But there are Dollar trees out here. Only satellite internet available out here which is annoying. "

"we have a really great school district up here, and we're going to be getting a lot of new businesses, restaurants, and a new ER/Hospital built nearby as well! low crime rate, one of the best fire departments in the greater Tucson area, and a good law enforcement agency. "

"Well I have had friends live here and would hang out at the beginning of dove mountain. The parks were awesome and I love Heritage Highlands Cafe and I used to ride the golf carts around. Now I'm just staying in the senior community at the end. everyone seems to really like each other and they all have stuff going on at the community center I just kind of keep to myself because I'm only 28. "I've lived in this neighborhood for 3yrs off falcon ln. we moved to continental ranch and we miss it out here, the space, the stars, neighbors keep to themselves, yet friendly. if you go walking everyday I suggest you bright protection. I had many unfriendly dogs out and about on quite a few walks with my young kids, made me nervous. loud dirt vehicles occasionally joy riding and dogs barking at night in distance, we slept with a fan, not too bad. overall we loved it out there! "It’s relatively quiet at night and has beautiful night skies. The rare noise at night comes from barking dogs in the neighborhood, but other than that it’s somewhat calm and peaceful."

"Homes are incredibly close and most have smaller yards tightly connected to neighbors on all sides and with so many foundational issues lots not level and settling and rains constantly flooding yards and changing level of yards slowly each rain causing many escape points in yards or gaps for further engagement opportunities between neighbor dogs ex increased barking and more determined escapes. Also mud paw issues with rains. Daily there is 1-2 (usual repeat offenders) of dogs escaping and roaming for a day or 2 but community really good at helping out this. It is a high dog dump off area sad. Also dogs that escape have so much wide open undisturbed desert wilderness to roam. Other home owners are super vigilante about most noise from dogs and dog waste. Property fences are shared between your neighbors so easily can become unstable wobbly "

"Community is tight knit and people are beyond expectations helpful but opinions are strong and divided on everything possible and disagreements and calling out episodes are excessive. Rules change frequently and randomly enforced then not at all. Neighbors are hypervigilant watching over what goes on within community which is good when the need is there but a drain and negative when it is over petty issues."

"Watch and care for children but is relatively a safe place. Very good schools and school activities. Community activities for children of all ages. Lots of playgrounds and play areas. Generally a friendly community. Religious opportunities and activities for the whole family are always active and close at hand. "
