This school has poor leadership. The principals have favorite students who they allow to get away with whatever they want. If you go to the principals over an issue or someone bulling they sweep the issue under the rug where it continues to happen. The teachers cuss the kids out and tell them they won’t amount to anything in life, vape in the classroom with the kids, and generally don’t care if they pass or fail. Security guards have favorites as well, where as in their favorites they’ll turn off their body cam, and take a kids vape from them and keep it to where other kids they’ll turn in to get punishment (don’t get me wrong, vaping is not cool but you get the idea). There are sexual favors/intercourse happening in stair wells, hallways, and classrooms which are posted on social media. Boys are going into the girls bathrooms. Fights DAILY. Random people entering the school when they shouldn’t be there. Don’t get me started on the 504 and IEP’s that they violate on a continuous basis which has now been filed with the TEA as of today. The administration will place the blame on you, the parent even though you’ve tried and tried and have been up to the school many times. The list goes on and on. Do yourself a favor and do not put your kids in Royse City High school it changes them in not good ways just ask some of the not favorite students they’ll tell you themselves.

These teacher are amazing! The communication that comes home from them is great. Several teachers send weekly information home, and others use Remind, Twitter, Instagram, etc to get the information to parents. They are always smiling when I see them, and my child comes home happy and excited.

This school was just okay. I had two students in this school before I had to pull them out. My daughter was struggling and I requested that she be tested for dyslexia to which they denied saying that everything was fine. Now her pediatrician is having her tested and she has been diagnosed with dysgraphia and speech issues. I received zero help from her teacher, as well as all administrative staff involved. Would not recommend this school.
