7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMany teachers are passionate and dedicated to ensuring their students do learn the material and it sticks with them, mainly through engaging and entertaining teaching involving everyone in the classroom. However there is not much diversity, I remember seeing one class consisting mainly of African American students that I didn’t see anywhere else in the school which seems off but I can’t say I know what was going on there. Many classes send kids home with an hour + of homework every night, which was extremely stressful when they added up, but the work load wasn’t unmanageable. One thing that concerns me is that they will tell new students to avoid certain students because they may have a bad rap with the principal or something, many of those students were really great people that the school didn’t seem to want to understand. The now principal, Greg Lamberty is definitely an issue, he was more set on being in control than actually helping the students and it honestly hurts to know that he became the principal because if everybody hated him before I can’t imagine how they feel now. My experience with this school wasn’t mainly negative aside from the few parts mentioned; William Deardoff and Lori Nelson were two teachers I will personally never forget, they made sure every student in the classroom felt welcomed and were excited to come to their class and learn their material; they were two of the best teachers I ever had and deserve to be treated better than I know they areOther Review1y ago - Pine Creek Elementary School
