"Walking distance to downtown for city events and restaurants. Only have lived here for 3 months so haven’t seen a lot of the events of the community yet. "
  • Johnson1591
"There are parks and there is a dog park. Lots of leash walking in neighborhoods as well. Dogs are allowed in businesses and are made to feel welcome. It is a very dog welcoming community. The Dixon Dog Park is great! "
  • Claudia W.
"Charming small town. Safe, clean, where people still stroll with their families mornings/evenings. Old timers are conservative but that's changing as transplants move in. I can find everything I need and parking 5 minutes away, no congestion here. If you want peace and wide open spaces, welcome home."
  • Chris K.
"A bedroom (rural) community with 1-2 hr commute to major metro areas like San Francisco Bay area and Sacramento. Most amenities are local with movie theaters 8-10 miles in either direction on i80. Community Colleges are within 20-30 minutes as well as UC Davis. Sutter Hospital in Davis, Kaiser and others in Vacaville - both about 10-15 minutes away off I80. "
  • Anika M.
"Everything you need is about 5 minutes away. People are very nice and friendly here. It’s a great family oriented little town. "
  • Mmunoz113

  • Candjfields
"Mon - Fri: Leaving at 8 AM, usually encounter a 30 min commute into Sacramento via I-80. Normally the only slow down is in Davis at Richards Blvd and at Mace."
  • Jhmiller831
"As long as they are under control and they pick up after them, they are welcome. I see no downsides to them in the area, people around here are very friendly concerning dogs."
  • Terrisecco
"Great neighbors. We have lived here for 10 years and know 6 surrounding neighbors by name. We keep an eye out for any problems for each other and exchange holiday treats every year. "
  • Terrisecco
"We have lived here 10 years. Neighbors are friendly. It has the small town feel without being too small. "
  • Lydia H.
"It has a small town feel. Community oriented. Many people here have religious/conservative views, which maybe good for some or something you will have to overlook. Fun community events that are family oriented. Lots of places to eat Mexican food. A very nice super walmart. Lots of liquor stores and bars. Lots of hair salons. Nice parks."
