The teachers are overall meh. There are a few really good ones, and a few really awful ones, but it's mostly just C+ teachers. The students are, for the most part, just not good people. It isn't really the school's fault, but I also feel like they could do more about it. Students care 0% about what they are learning and seem to think if they are awful enough to the teachers, they will just pass them to get them out of their class, which sadly, sometimes works. The Honors classes are better, but still not great. Its tolerable, but I'm definitely looking forward to college.

I am withdrawing my child from this school this week. My child is an honor roll student and over achiever and has been bullied off and on periodically for the last 3 years of attending Kankakee Valley Middle School. My child has been a model student and instead of them working towards keeping her as a student, they would rather do nothing and reward the bad behavior of the students who continue to bully her. During their time at KV, it always seemed that a teacher or faculty wasn't there to see or witness what happened to her. My child has been hazed, literally having food thrown at her across the cafeteria, and at one point in 6th grade was eating lunch in the bathroom to avoid being attacked by their bullies. If you are sending your child to this school, beware that if your child is bullied, the staff will do nothing or the absolute bare minimum of what is legal to keep your child safe and uncomfortable in this learning environment.

My daughter has attended this school, and I have had issues with the teacher. I am to the point of pulling her out of the school and taking her to the Christian School that is close. I volunteered in the school for a class party, and the teacher went on to tell the volunteers about a child in particular progress in school. I did not feel that it was appropriate for me to know how a child is doing if it is not my own. She was also very rude to the students and not the type of attitude I would expect for an elementary school teacher. I have spoken with other parents who have also helped in the class on a regular basis and this is what happens when they are there as well.

this school is sooo much better then Lincoln Elem.school will ever be...... This is why my kids will be going there for now on !!
