8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy older child just wrapped up 8th grade and my younger is still in the MS. The staff and administration is wonderful. There is a lot of thought out behind social and emotional supports for tween/teens during these tough years of development. I truly appreciate the email blasts from the principal and the constant communication with the teachers as well. They’re very responsive and anytime I have an informal check in or question about my child, they’re very attentive in their responses and follow through. Last thing to add, although there will be an interim principal this year while the current one stepped into an executive administrative opportunity to support the needs of the current school system, she was never too busy to follow up, call back, or check in with my child. Regarding the curriculum, both of my children are bright. There have been highs and lows with my kids needing support and teachers make every effort to offer extra support opportunities- before, during, and after school. "Wayland is a lovely suburban community west of Boston. There are mostly single family homes in town, nestled within nice neighborhoods, but also a number of condominium communities. The public schools are good and the community is safe, "
