My children love, love, love this school and so do I The teachers are friendly, the staff is friendly and so in the principal. My 2nd grader and 6th grader hate to miss school. I never thought I would see a day where my kids would be upset about missing school. The things I love about this school: This school security is top notch. You cannot just walk into the school. All doors are locked and you must announce yourself and what you are doing there to enter. The school offers schoolbucks. You can go online to pay school lunch. No more of this sending lunch money to school only to have it lost or not applied correctly.The school offers speech therapy and wonderful teachers who help with struggling readers.You get to meet with the reading teacher during conferences. My 6th grade teacher offers this neat little app called class dojo. No more notes being sent home about behavior. You just log into the app to find out how you child is behaving. This has worked wonders for my 6th grader who likes to talk out of turn. You can also send messages to the teacher through this app. The teachers and staff and so nice. When my 1st grader lost a knitted scarf, made my her grandmother, one of the teachers there took it upon herself to knit her a beautiful scarf. Of course my child did have several store bought scarfs but nothing beats a handmade scarf. My daughter's backpack was accidentally taken home by one of the special education students. Her teacher replaced the backpack. She did not have to do this because we had a back up backpack but it was very kind of her to do so. At the end of the school year the schools in the district get together to race. My kids loved it last year and we are looking forward to it this year.I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. We came from Washington state, from a school in Grapeview Washington. Well Minetto has that school beat in all areas, professional academic, kindness , up to date and all around decency.

The principal has proven herself to us to be deceptive and self-serving, a very dangerous combination to have in an already poor performing school district. She is an Oswego native who has never lived or worked outside of Oswego and only knows Oswego, so parents who want their children to succeed and make it out of Oswego should be aware. Most of the teachers are great, and the music teachers are top notch.

there are few good teachers and a good amount of bad teachers same with other students there are lots of fights and almost all the time if your the victim of bullying or a fight you will get in the same amount of trouble as the person who started it and don't even try to tell the school the max they'll do is suggest you stay away from the person but many times they do nothing and don't even try and use the bathrooms you might as well be vaping yourself with how much smoke there is.the sports are pretty good I've been doing sports for the past year and almost everyone is a good person.overall not very good
