5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYou know the lady who complained about the Spanish speaking only kids. You shouldn't be so negative! The kids who speak Spanish need help as much as your kid does it sounds to me from what you wrote about this school is so very negative. You say your kid is in gate so that means you have a bright child. I have one also but I also have a family member in this school who is in special ed and she is in a great school she needs help too bit we will never complain about kids who speak only Spanish trying to learn English as being a bad thing for a school to teach them they do not in my opinion in either school district only focus on Spanish speaking kids! In fact they even need more help in my opinion from us at times! 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a terrible high school. The atmosphere is very unwelcoming. Many staff members here are extremely rude and strict. Some teachers give you overwhelming amounts of homework and only one day to do it even though they sometimes don't upgrade the grade book on time when report cards are about to get sent out. I had a Spanish teacher for level 2 Spanish that spoke Spanish 75% of the time in class even though some of us did not understand a lick of it, and we had no daily routine whatsoever. Not to mention there is no shade during lunch, so when it gets really sunny or rains hard there is no where comfortable to sit. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's unfortunate that the school rating isn't higher. I have been attending RVS since the beginning of middle school, and will now be graduating in 2017. This program has provided me with new and different opportunities to expand my knowledge. All of my teachers put in effort to aid me in achieving my educational and personal goals. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student that is in 7th, I have a lot to say. The school can be a little intimidating once you are new, but if you are friendly and talk to people you find nice, you will feel more confident there. However, there are a few issues of drama since there are a few bullies that occasionally harass you, but if you find a way to make peace and chill a little, they can be pretty nice and smart. The staff is nice and the teachers are very kind and will help you with anything. I have been going here since 5th and overall, everyone can be nice if you can stay on their good side.Student Review5mo ago

"residential streets aren't very well lit from dusk til dawn, also there are 4-ways that aren't true 4-ways and cars do not stop when I appears as they should when in fact do not have to stop. Furthermore cars drive a Lil bit faster than they should. walking your pets is safe and scenic although many sidewalks end and/or aren't present. "

"This neighborhood has the best neighbors. Always happy to lend a hand when needed and always watching out for one another. There is a real sense of community here. Lawns are kept up and it is family friendly. "

"There are--literally--two sides to the Grand Neighborhood. This area was built along the banks of the Santa Ana River. On the river side, sits a high bluff containing many gracious custom homes built during the 50's -60's. Swimming pools are common, some streets have buried utility lines, etc. The bluff built homes have jaw dropping views; and many have balconies that make the most of the "wow" factor. Many of these "river-side" homes also have direct access to the Santa Ana River Bike Trail which runs 110 miles from Big Bear Lake to Newport Beach on the coast. On the other side of the street you will find more modest homes of smaller sq footage, with peek-a-boo views over the river. The entire neighborhood benefits from the quality of life there, but the bluff built homes and lots are clearly prized by all."
