7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was an absolute nightmare and ultimately made us leave MoCo and Maryland. Our daughter was relentlessly sexually harassed through out 5th grade and the school would do absolutely nothing to help her. They would not even move the boys to another classroom after they spoke about dreaming of raping her and wishing they could see through her clothes. The things these 5th grade boys said to her were absolutely revolting. The principal and MCPS destroyed her faith in humanity. It is a vile place to send your children. We moved to a different state after this experience and it is amazing in retrospect just how far MCPS has falling and what a terrible school system it actually is. Ask yourself why so many of your neighbors send their children to private school.Parent Review2y ago - Walter Johnson High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally bad experience for my son. He was introverted and needed support. Social scene awful. Too big. Not enough attention. Academics strong. Emotional and social support terrible. I should have pulled my son out. Tough tough place!Parent Review4mo ago - Tilden Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son entered sixth grade. White, but with curly hair, he was harassed by other boys throughout his time at school. When I told him to ask for help he said he had already asked and no one did anything, when I said I would communicate he begged saying it would be worse. He suffered physical and verbal aggression for 1 and a half years until the day he retaliated and hit another boy. He got a suspension and I was sure at that moment that the prejudice against immigrants came from professionals who aggravated what children already bring home. A structural problem that needs to be resolved and this can only be achieved with efficient management prepared to care for teenagers. Bad experience for my son and other immigrants who suffer from the reality at Tilden.Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 5817 Edson Ln #1.

"My family lived at 511 Crabb Ave. They bought it the summer of 1954. It was 2 beds with one bath. We had a lot of fun with all the kids on our street. There was a neighborhood elementary school, Maryvale, we walked 2 blocks to the school and in good weather walked home for lunch. I attended Richard Montgomery High School. The metro did not exist at that time. "

"This neighborhood is definitely a very dog friendly place! While I don’t personally have a dog, I see at least 20 dogs go by outside my window every day walking down to Welsh Park. There is a large open field where dogs can run around so many people bring them there. It is also just a neighborhood where a lot of people walk around because there are paths and things like that in Welsh Park as well. "
