7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGRAVE Safety & Security issues at this school! I would encourage everyone to use the new and long overdue ESAs (empowerment scholarship funds, they are NOT vouchers) to go to a private school where obviously you'll have a more safe, protected and stronger learning environment. We had to remove our daughter from this school due to bullying and real threats of violence, including from a parent of one of the other kids at the school. Administration was supportive, but it's obvious they just want things to go away vs have the fortitude they must have to truly protect kids.Parent Review3y ago17 Reviews - Liberty Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 3 kids have attended this school since kindergarten. We never had a problem when Mr. Davis was the principal. My kids absolutely loved the school. Last year they took away all the good teachers and Mr. Davis and brought in a bunch of new teachers and a new principal, Mrs. Roberson. We were not happy at all! The teachers that all 3 of my kids got were not caring towards my kids and when I spoke to them I was treated rudely. One of the teachers told me my child was depressed, had ADD and too fat and needed to be put in special ed classes. This made me furious! My youngest was bringing home referrals weekly for things that were simply unheard of. Like running home from school or dripping his water bottle on the ground as he was walking home, etc. We decided to move districts completely. My kids are happier now then ever before and their grades are wonderful. Also, my child that liberty told me needed special ed classes has gotten an A on every paper and test so far and told me she is a wonderful student. So, good luck to you all.Parent Review12y ago15 Reviews - Horizon High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe front office staff at Horizon High School are, without question, some of the most rude and unwelcoming individuals I have ever encountered in an educational setting. From the moment we arrived as a new family, there was zero warmth, zero professionalism, and absolutely no effort made to make us feel welcome. When I attempted to call and have issues resolved, the communication was nonexistent. Phone calls were not handled properly, concerns were dismissed, and I was left with nothing but frustration and zero resolution. What is most disturbing is that the office staff apparently feel it is acceptable to YELL at students. These are children. Adults in a school setting are supposed to lead by example — that is the bare minimum expectation. Yelling at students is not discipline, it is a failure of professionalism and basic decency.I would not recommend Horizon High School to any new family — not even close. If the first faces and voices representing this school treat students and families this way, it speaks volumes about the environment as a whole. Do better.Parent Review1mo ago19 Reviews - Check out schools near 5809 E Evans Dr.

"Most houses in my neighborhood have large yards so most homeowners have dogs. Many of them walk them daily and it is nice to run into friendly people with friendly dogs. Sometimes snowbirds don’t pick up after their dogs, because they don’t feel that they live here full-time"
