Students aren't given time to make up assignments even with doctors' notes after hospital stays. Most schools provide tutoring and extra resources for disabled students. Guyer teachers yelled, shamed and failed students. Theses were terrible years for my granddaughter culminating in being erased her senior year. She wasn't pictured in the yearbook even though I tried talking to the school. Then she wasn't allowed to walk across the stage for graduation. I'm a retired educator.
