Description

Beautiful spacious house in nice, quiet, family neighborhood! More private location at the end of the cul-de-sac surrounded by greenspace and neighbors only on one side. Access to great schools and lots of parks in Hercules. Walking distance to the library, senior center, and police station. Shopping, grocery, and restaurants less than 1 mile away.

INDOORS: Rental is for an UNFURNISHED house. Photos show staged furniture and decor for conceptual reference only.

House is 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. One large bedroom downstairs with ceiling fan, French doors accessing the backyard, and full bathroom with walk-in shower - great for seniors or in-laws. Large master bedroom upstairs, with walk-in shower and huge closet. Two regular bedrooms also upstairs that share a full bathroom with double sinks and shower/tub. The space is ideal for single families, multi-generational living, and/or sharing with 2-3 people/groups who would each like their own living space (bedroom+bathroom).

Open-living space in the shared areas with large Great Room that combines with the kitchen and eating area. The dining room and living room (which we used as an office) are also combined into one large open living space. Kitchen includes island and brand new stainless steel appliances (except refrigerator is from 2018). Note: Photos show old black appliances - we recently upgraded to stainless steel. Engineered wood flooring downstairs, carpet in the bedroooms and stairs, and tile in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Central air conditioning and heating. Large washer and dryer included in the laundry room. Two car garage with some wire shelving installed on the sides. Up to 2 cars tandem parking on the driveway. Lots of guest parking spots in the cul-de-sac area.

OUTDOORS: Low maintenance medium-sized backyard. Vegetation behind the house (no backyard neighbors). HOA covers front-yard landscaping. Trees in the front yard provide wonderful shade in the summer and are fun to decorate with holiday lights in the winter.

Great home for those looking for a safe and stable place to live!! Rental is for the entire home and yard (owner lives nearby, but not on-site).

We are seeking renters who will live in, care for, and maintain the house as if it were their own! References will be checked. Serious applications only please.

"Very active Halloween- everyone in town floods our neighborhood. Great recreation area- dog walkers, family bike rides, very close/great access to the Bay Trail. Once a year we’ve had Food trucks on Bayfront, just a block away. We used to have a multicultural festival first week d of June and Fireworks co-hosted by Hercules and Pinole."

  • Lcwong586
"Commute is bad when rush hour! Have to leave early to avoid bad traffic! A cop likes to check on early commuters at one stop sign by 5:35am! If you do not stop completely by the stop sign where is still residential , you will get a ticket! The cop is always hiding by the stop sign to catch you! "
  • Mindy N.
"Family oriented... have raised our two daughters in this town and have lived here for 32 years. I used to work the City of Hercules as the Special Event Coordinator creating community events, it was a great job... "
  • Barma81
"None. This neighborhood reminds me of a commuter school. Not that I’m complaining but I have nothing in common with my neighbors age/profession/income/interests. Only benefit is it’s close to the city and easy fwy access. "
  • Charles S.
"The Refugio Valley path is approximately 3 miles long, has a beautiful scenic area with trees and is dog-friendly."
  • Angelicaf47
"Commute to San Francisco is long with a lot of traffic. But I usually drive to a Bart station to go to SF."
  • Tchukon S.
"It’s not too expensive and still relatively close to San Francisco. Good place to raise children since the homes are a good sized "
  • Cyhayashida
"Horrible!! I work 12 miles away & it usually takes me 45 minutes to work but an hour & 5 minutes to get home."
  • Luis O.
"very quiet different from other areas around ... seems more calm around here I like it feels safe "
  • Crystal S. L.
"This is where I met my husband and where I am raising my family. I love Hercules. It’s safe for the most part. "
  • Claudia H.
"Quiet, very quiet. Not a lot of foot traffic. People here live here and not just wondering around...."
  • frankho2000
    "Nice affordable community."
  • lsgm2fw
"It's a pretty place to live and very quite unless your neighbor has a barking dog. Then you need to get the HOA and Humane Society involved and it does take time before anything is resolved. Hercules has no industry except a Luckys, Home Depot, Wells Fargo, Post Office, library and various other smaller shops. You'll need to drive to Richmond (10 minute drive) for the closest Target and movie theatre. Or you can drive out to Concord/Walnut Creek. If you are single, unless you perfer to stay in most of the time, this is NOT an area you want to live in. If you don't mind driving or BARTing to SF every weekend then you'll be okay. Overall, I do like it because it is quite and clean but I seriously miss SF. I am 55 and single and it's the arts I miss the most as well as being able to walk rather than drive where I want to go."
  • Nancy M.
"I am retired but commuted to San Francisco for 22 years from this location. The transportation to San Francisco is excellent especially since Hercules added the Lynx bus which goes none stop to San Francisco. There is also a transit center with buses to BART. There are two parks within the facility with walking paths and a fenced swimming pool. This is a one owner home in a quiet bedroom community. "
