"Nice and friendly and well maintained but the main road is WAY to crowded and traffic is awful at rush hour "
  • Jrsy2la
"We have annual parades and fairs on High Street for most holidays. We have 4 th of July fireworks with bands and food trucks on the 3rd of July."
  • Kristine Eckstein
"It’s close to freeways and between Los Angeles & Thousand Oaks. It’s a quiet area close to good schools. Neighborhood is friendly and watch out for each other."
  • Crisramirez1098
"Good neighborhood, very friendly people, needs more Hispanic grocery stores I’d say, plus more restaurants."
  • Jrsy2la
"I personally drive my own car. But they do have many forms of public transportation I just could not honestly say how reliable or convenient it is to use. "
  • A zain
"Good neighborhood and safe. I highly recommend this place because it’s near highways. Close by schools."

"Great place to live and raise your family! It has all the markets, stores and restaurants that you need!"
  • Pamela Hartman
"Commute is fine- I go to Simi valley for work. About 20 minutes each way. Traffic on the 118 is not so bad "
  • Colleen C.
"We have lived here for four years. Great location. Cool ocean breezes. Love riding our bikes down roads flanked by lemon and avocado trees. The community is popping with a brew pub, wood fired pizza and wine shop at The Alley MP. Very small town feel but close to urban areas. You can even hop on the Metrolink to get to Downtown LA or the SurfLiner to cruise up to Santa Barbara. "
  • Karinamarinreyes3
"I’ve lived here for about 28 years , moorpark is quite , friendly, and safe. Nice neighborhood to live in uptown moorpark. "
  • James M.
"There are lots it's of parks in town, so much so that people joke that the town is really named More Park. Incredibly safe, lots of activities for children and families. Surrounded by farms and wilderness but close to major shopping and cultural events. "
  • Meilikenney
"I can’t think of a reason a dog owner wouldn’t like this place. Dogs are welcomed at most establishments "
  • Michael
"Rush hour congestion in the morning and afternoon makes for a commute that takes twice as long as it would in clear traffic. "
  • Trulia User
"Lovely town, very clean and peaceful. Friendly people who respect the community. Great quality of life!"
  • Abdul B.

"Many options of places to walk to like a park, school, shops. Interesting areas to check into. Check it out, I am sure you will love it. Great community for families too. "
  • Chris M.
"Moorpark is a Very safe community. Moorpark could use more restaurants but that would be my only complaint. "
  • Gistock
"Christmas lights are on many of the homes. We have a mailbox down the street so walk past the neighbors. People jog the area."

  • Ayannag
"The neighborhood is ethnically diverse, more so than other neighborhoods I have lived in. I don’t feel like such an outsider here. There are good ethnic restaurants nearby, as well as chains."
  • Peyewmn
"I used to love this place but it’s gotten to expensive. It’s gotten bad element who moved in. The worst thing is that I don’t feel safe with leaving the doors unlocked "
  • Peyewmn
"Watch for speeding vehicles in neighborhoods. Beware of fireworks and this neighborhood is known for getting broken into and cars being stolen in broad daylight "
  • Rhon R.
"Great friendly, clean neighborhood. Young families, young couples, singles, dog lovers. It was described to me as younger than Thousand Oaks and less expensive, but more expensive than Simi Valley. "
  • Twins2Biys
"Schools are not as good as they say. Scholars are only for the round peg that fits in the round hole. Also, it is a big baseball town. "
  • Lauren
"This area allows for you to feel secluded enough to have your own home, yet also connected to several bigger cities. "
  • Herson F.
"The most wonderful place to raise a family in Southern California! Always great weather! Not to far from the beaches! Not to far from the City! "
  • Kotinmyint
"Take local main road to freeway and get off to work. Usually take 20-25 minutes to get work. There is no major traffic jam. Absolutely smooth."
