Words cannot describe the constant disrespect the facility members and staff give to the students. This is not a pleasant working environment. Kids will not feel safe here nor welcome, the teachers have a condensing and disrespect tone when speaking to students. They ignore concerns. Wouldn’t recommend this school unless you want to feel like your in a prison.

Starves my kid after they got introuble.

I moved to Lawrence thinking it was one of the best school districts. I was so wrong. I should have stayed my behind back in Brooklyn. To begin, there is no homework assigned to the kids. How are children supposed to progress when there is no foundation of organization and assignments to be turned in? It seems like a free for all as far as education goes. Teachers are more concerned about what their weekend activities will be and what they will be getting for teachers appreciation week rather than teach the kids the basics of education. Most of the day my kid comes home and doesn’t know the current date and month. During Parent/teacher night I asked to show some work the children completed in school, the teacher showed me a random social studies book with empty lines. This goes to show me that the teachers don’t find the time to actually teach. Also, what’s concerning is that children are being tested by the state yet have no actually practice prior to testing. This is extremely concerning to me.

Eldridge Park School is Lawrenceville's best kept secret. This is an AWESOME school. You could not ask for a better, more caring and dedicated faculty and staff. Mrs. Robbins is a wonderful principal. She greets all of the children each morning and the Character Education program she has put into place is top notch. You can see character ed. reflected in the children integrated into all aspects of the curriculum. The PTO is strong and the special guest artists they bring into the school are fantastic. It is a loving and caring community and the curriculum is challenging and rigorous. My kids are in kindergarten and they LOVE going to school everyday. Their teacher is doing an amazing job teaching them to read. I am impressed at the high level of curriculum they accomplish each week. The facade of the school may look older (esp. compared to the other schools) but the people inside are what make this school so wonderful. I could not ask for a better first year school experience for my children. If you are lucky enough to live in EPS district....consider yourself blessed.
