"Andersonville: Lived here since 2016. Friendly, liberal, diversified, wonderful restaurants, low crime, nearby grocery, drug stores, and small businesses. Public transportation at your fingertips. Walking distance to Lake Michigan beaches, bicycle, and running trails. Village-like atmosphere, but close to downtown Chicago and its many sights, museums, art galleries, and theater. Great place to live! "
    • Trulia User
"Great area but just like any other neighborhood up north. Poor parking streets and sidewalks are not clean and to expensive for small apts"

"The Sommerfest, the weekly farmer’s market, sidewalk sales, Viking pub crawl and many more events make this neighborhood fun. It is also a fairly quiet neighborhood; if you want lots of nightlife, live farther south. We are older, and really love the inclusive, friendly vibe here."

"Many of the restaurants allow dogs at their outdoor tables. Many businesses offer free dog biscuits and set out water. Several good pet shops along Clark St. "

People are especially friendly, everyone says hello and if you have children or dogs they tend to be more talkative. We have an abundance of restaurants, grocery stores as well as public transportation all within walking distance. "
