7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo be honest this school needs a lot more. clubs and organizational skills. There has been been many issues with my daughter's graduation. I'm quite disappointed with this school, I had always heard great things about this school but now I think otherwise. I feel like its gone downhill after Mrs. Miller left. There are issues with cords, lack of organization in graduation my daughter and her friends are not excited about it which saddens me because they should be excited about this time in their life. There is a lack of communication between the administration and staff, all I have heard throughout my daughter's senior year is that. The administration makes these new rules and neither the students nor the parents have any idea of what is going on! Sometimes even the teachers don't know. My son had a hard time with 6th grade there and wasn't liking school too much due to the state of the middle school there. We moved to the White Plains school district due to a job change and it was the highest rated school district in the area. My son started 7th grade the fall of 2015 and immediately we noticed how well that White Plains Middle school operated as opposed to his middle school in Huntsville. We registered him for school and went to orientation where we were impressed by the wonderful state of their facility. It was 8 yrs old but looked like it was built yesterday. We were reached out to by one of the school counselors immediately about some course scheduling . Our son has done wonderfully this past year with all A's and B's in all his classes. He loves going to school and has made lots of new friends. We have been impressed by the school principals, staff and teachers who make everyone feel a part of the school. Every event we have attended has gone off flawlessly and it appears that the staff at White Plains plan out their activities and execute them instead of just winging it as we have seen other schools do in the past. Little things like dropping off/picking up the kids is orchestrated precisely and quickly like no other school we have seen. White Plains attends to the little details and its shows in its school. "Halloween is a big deal. At Christmas, everyone in our neighborhood puts a tree outside with 400 minimum lights. It’s great to drive around and look at. "

"Friendly people who mostly know each other. A small park that a lot of people with kids visit regularly where you can meet other families. At Christmas, my street and some others put a lit Christmas tree in each yard and it’s wonderful. There is a street Christmas party. "

"We have a great neighborhood avery thing we need is within 3 miles from home. There are walking place and also a gym near our home shopping 1 mile for house a hospital 3 miles from it also the Oxford exchange 2 1/2 miles all you need. "
