My son had such an amazing experience at this school. He was in the IB program and all of his teachers were amazing. The principal and administrators build a personal relationship with parents and students. Many sports teams are available to students without tryouts so they are very inclusive. The students are diverse and the facilities are amazing. Great chem lab, full woodworking studio, and photography lab. Tons of clubs, and activities. My son made great friends and thrived there.

This school used to be a very good school, but not anymore. This is the first year that this school became a Title 1 school, which has declined the overall academic achievements that used to prevail here. The teachers barely have any control of their classrooms (disruptive students, students who don't speak the language, students who have behavioral issues), and spend a good majority of their time disciplining rather than teaching. The students are all lumped together whether they're struggling or advanced (little or no support for the advanced kids - as a matter of fact the overall district-wide attitude is that if your student is advanced, great! They can teach their peers....). And overall, it looks just worn-down. The seasoned teachers are great (if you can get them). The seasoned Kinder and seasoned 1st grade teachers are out of this world. Really super. It goes downhill from there, which is a shame.
