"I have lived in this neighborhood for 31 years. Love the village style life style, neighbors and deers"
  • Renan p.
"I have lived for almost 13 years and I’m love it. It’s quite, there’s parking and neighbors are very nice. Neighbors are not noisy and they can help you anytime. There’s a retired cop and he usually looks out for the community. "

"After years of living in the city, I spent two cold foggy summers in Bernal Heights and had had it with cold summers. After that I moved to Belmont because I determined the area partly to get out of the fog zone. You could also look as far north as San Mateo or even Burlingame for this, but as you move closer north, you risk more cool/foggy days. Even Belmont has its share of breezy days, but I would say it is consistently sunny like the North and East Bay. Beyond that, it is within shooting distance of both the silicon valley and city being about 30 min away. So you are sort of between nightlife and jobs in that sense. East Bay however takes almost an hour to get to. The town of San Carlos nearby has more life and culture, I might look there. Both towns are quite expensive by now for purchasing. I would also consider parts of San Mateo and Redwood City as they are becoming quite cute. Belmont is purely residential with not much life or culture going on. One plus is a great set of trail systems, ponds, and bike trails such as Hidden Canyon, Waterdog Lake and the whole Penninsula Open Space Preserve system. It's also great being about 20 min away from Half Moon Bay. "
