I have been a substitute teacher at various, not only in San Antonio Texas but other states as well. E H Gilbert is by far one of the best schools I've worked at. The faculty and staff seem to be genuinely interested in the well-being of the students and the behavior of the overall student body has made the decision to continue to return to sub at this school a very easy decision.

The students are duly prepared for careers or higher education. We are grateful to the support of the community as we have one of the highest property tax rates in the State, because we believe in our kids and because the State, and some of the right wingers in the Legislature have ignored the growing needs of our public schools.......and in spite, we continue to score higher on achievement exams, higher graudation rates than those, on average, at charters.....not a good thing, becasue we believe all kids should do well in their preparation for college or work.

The students are out of control at this school due to lack of supervision The good students are badly outnumbered by bullies..
