This school is ranked the lowest in the district for a reason. The students are totally out of control! From the loud cursing, to them intimidating the staff and other students, it's a terrible learning environment all together. I have never seen such disrespectful kids! The parents are the main problem. They refuse to correct their child's behavior and everyone else suffers. There is only so much staff can do. In my opinion the district needs to implement stricter consequences for Parents. For example Make it mandatory that they sit with their kids in the classroom as volunteers. If you inconvenience the parents then they will take their child's behavior seriously. Also the staff needs to be supported to correct behavior issues. The test grades are low because these kids can't read! Some come in to sleep, play, and fight and some teachers allow it! They befriend the bad kids and undermine the classroom setting. T A Howard is in dire need of a complete overhaul in order to thrive and thats the TRUTH!!

This is an AMAZING school!! We transferred our kids here from Arlington ISD and have never been happier about a decision. The staff (from administration, teachers, and support staff) have all been so kind, helpful, and caring. And they do it all with a joy and enthusiasm that makes my kids excited to attend school. Plus, they have embedded Character education into their curriculum (even gotten National recognition for it). On top of that, they are one of the few elementary schools that have an AVID program! But wait! There's more! They also have a dual language program! I can't say enough great things about this GREAT SCHOOL. We LOVE CAPA!!P.S.- comments about the removal of a teacher a few years ago are inaccurate. The campus had nothing to do with the removal. It was the district.

This school is changing and for the better! The teachers there care about the kids and my child has been thriving! They have started doing things like student council, whiz quiz! She is doing amazing!

This high school has a great fine arts program, academic and athletic programs. They have the best nationally recognized band program in Mansfield ISD. The school is very diverse which allows students to learn from each other. The teachers and staff are the best. Summit Love is felt throughout the school. Many students have graduated from this high school and went on to become successful adults.
