About this House

Welcome to Greens Lake and Clarkston schools. The home is at the headwater of the springhead of a canal that feeds the Clinton River with 150 feet of waterfront with a beach/boat put in/beach. The view from the home is overlooking a wetlands across the canal with deer, foxes and other wildlife. Fishing is great in the stocked lake and the dock can accommodate up to a 24 foot pontoon and the jet ski hoist is on the other side. There is a light at the dock area on solar power. The kitchen, living room and all 2 1/2 baths on the main floor were updated in 2019 with Pergo flooring, new carpet, new kitchen appliances and quartz counters. For peace of mind, there is a whole house Generac generator. In 1998, the house added a beautiful sunroom with a view of the canal and none of the roar from the lake. Greens Lake connects to Lester and Van Norm Lake and you can end up going to lunch under the Gazebo at LA Cafe (at Andersonville Road and Dixie and tie up at their dock. You can also go to Macaday Lake by canoe. There is a wonderful beach at the park across the lake.
Lower level of the home has a full bath with a sauna, plenty of storage and a bedroom. There is a paved patio outside and the sunroom has a beautiful Jacuzzi with a view of the canal. The hedges of flowering bushes provide privacy and color all summer long and they are low maintenance (lilacs, forsythia, hostas, Rose of Sharon and lots of various green ground cover). The backyard is level with a small sled hill for young children. Newer aluminum siding and a roof with a lifetime warranty. First floor fireplace is gas logs. House has a total of 3300 space foot living space. Attic for storage above garage. Roomy shed has room for yard equipment etc and is 50 feet to the west, out of view in the woods at the edge of the property. Note: lot line follows the utility lines to the north of the home and connects to the wetlands and includes a small undeveloped creek to the north of the home.

  • Sandman.2960
"Every summer downtown they shut the streets and have what they call the taste of Clarkston. The local restaurants sell bite size treats of the food they cook. You buy tickets and each item takes different amounts of them. Thousands show up for the two day event!!"
  • Nndistelrath

  • Danielle C.
"Everyone seems to have a dog. Of course dogs are invited to enjoy any outside restaurant with their owner. Dog bowls everywhere. "

"We have awesome views, lots of very old trees, friendly neighbors, most homes have 1 acre lots, homes are all kept up well with professional landscaping and no sidewalks. The pond in the neighborhood is more of a nature preserve and all the common areas which canโ€™t be built on, all add to the ambience of this community. "
  • Richard-Nancy B.
"Lots of dogs, but not too noisy. There are a couple of dogs that arenโ€™t allowed, but they seem to be kept out of sight mostly."
  • Andy B.
"I live in Clarkston and it is a 20-45 minute drive to Troy depending on construction and traffic. 60 minutes to DTW."

  • MJ
"Lots of dog walkers. There are no sidewalks, so they walk in the street, which can be dangerous after dark."
