These schools are sooo much better than where we came from My high schooler is doing much better here. There is wayyy more emphasis on learning than our last district. She cares about her grades now and shows a lot more initiative.There are fights in every high school but seems there are also less fights here than our last district. Same goes for drug use / vaping. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers don’t teach well, especially if you have a learning disorder. Some of them are good, but most refuse to change their teaching methods even if half of their students are failing. They except way to much out of middle schoolers, and need to calm down. They don’t tell us what to do, give us failings grades, then get mad at us because half of the classes are failing. "Close to highways, but trains on Bonds Ranch are a nightmare. There are other ways in and out now, but only one that doesn't require the use of Bonds Ranch. "

"Neighbors are friendly and comfortable stopping to talk. Fun events at swimming pool make it easy to meet neighbors. It is very quiet which is something I enjoy when sitting outside. Very nice neighborhood."

"Commute to downtown is only 20 minutes. We have access to tolls, all over DFW area that cuts commute time tremendously especially during rush hour. Many slight delays from 3 minute trains in this area. "

"I've lived in Fort Worth for 7 years and I love it. Schools are great, shopping, dining as well, traffic not so good. It feels secure and people are friendly. "

"My family has lived here for almost 4 years and love love love living in Dorado Ranch/Emerald Park! The community is awesome and friendly - never issues with people at the pool or at the park. I do feel safe here and it helps that there are many police officers that live in the community. I've even come home very, very late in the evening and have seen a couple of women jogging! Kids are always outside playing, people are always walking for fitness and pleasure - it's just really nice. What we also liked was that Dorado Ranch, even though growing, was not going to be anywhere near the crazy number of houses as Sendera Ranch. There, they are to build 10,000 houses - they are around 4,000 now. Dorado Ranch is well below 1,000 at about 500. I have talked to few people from Sendera Ranch and they have said the traffic in and out of the community is terrible. There are also 2 train tracks and people get stuck waiting for up to 20 minutes because of the trains. The homes in Sendera Ranch will increase in value, just as anywhere else, however, to sell their house, the prices are slashed very low because of the amount of homes for sale in the community. That essentially hurts the values for everyone else. Great if you're buying - not so great if you're selling. We had our choice to build in Sendera Ranch, but we are so very happy we chose Dorado Ranch instead!!!!!"
