My oldest daughter has been at Arthur Street for 2 years now and her and I both LOVE it!! The teachers are so committed and passionate about their students! I was nervous her first year there, but I was quickly put to ease by the way the school is managed day to day. Thank you Arthur Street team for all that you do!!

As a former student of Heights Terrace EL/MS, I can confidently say that my experience there was deeply unsettling. Reflecting on my previous schooling in the Bronx, I can state that nothing prepared me for the stark contrast I faced at Heights Terrace. The atmosphere was suffocating, and the principal seemed to take pleasure in demonizing the students, creating an environment filled with animosity. Instead of fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere, the administration often exacerbated the issues students faced. The bullying problem at this school was pervasive and troubling, and it was handled so poorly that it only added to the students' distress. Instead of addressing the root of the issue, the staff often chose to shift the blame onto the very students seeking help, leaving many feeling powerless and unsafe. Overall, my time at Heights Terrace was marked by a profound sense of disillusionment and disappointment. It was a disgusting experience that I wish no one. To share a story, my friend fainted at this school most teachers came to help, but when the principal came he asked if he did it on purpose, one of the teachers according to people in the class laughed about the situation infront of students and told them what happened, releasing his medical condition to students in a grotesque manner, this is not a school, its a prison.
