The home has recently been renovated, with fresh interior paint and new heating and air conditioning system installed in addition to a new wood stove. The home has two beautiful decks & lots of outdoor space, including a shared outdoor gazebo for dining and entertaining. $1350 a month, $2000 deposit.

Located on a property that is 12 miles from Chico with three separate 2 bedroom 1 bath dwellings and is shared with a long-time artistic Chico family who are grateful to be inspired by nature and share time with others. We have residences in Chico and we occupy the other dwellings on the land as cabins and artistic retreat space. The house for rent shares a wall with a second unit that is utilized by myself, a 46 year old artist and healer and my 74 year old wise elder mom and our occasional guests. My brother, a 48 year old craftsman, sculptor and woodworker and his 17 year old daughter utilize a separate cabin and workshop/art studio spaces nearby.

All 3 living spaces & shops are located in a concentrated 2 acres of the 9 acre property, each home has private areas around them, but we also share common space around the houses. There are two seasonal ponds, oak woodlands and a beautiful garden/permaculture food forest area to grow food and enjoy the beautiful view of the canyon wall. We are looking for 2-4 people to share this beautiful oasis with us.

We have a vision of the land as an artistic retreat space, we are looking for folks who enjoy working and creating with other people, and who have good communication skills. We hold land stewardship and land relationship as a primary value, and we engage together in tending the land and common spaces. Our ideal landmates would have some idea of what it takes to live rurally on land or are interested in learning.

Pets considered, with additional Pet Deposit requirements

Owner pays for garbage, propane and electric is shared based on sq footage. Tenant shares responsibility for maintenance of fire clearance directly around the house. There are new mini split AC/heaters in all rooms, with a new woodstove as additional heat source. Pets are considered with a pet deposit and only upon approval of owners. First and last month rent and $1000 rental deposit is due at signing of lease, 1-2 year lease with renewal options. No indoor smoking, pot growing or other illegal activities on the land.
