7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLexington JHS is honestly an amazing school. The teachers are very supportive and the academics are very comprehensive here. You really get a lot of chances to develop character, leadership skills, and general study habits. A lot of thought it put into mental health (Be kind to your mind club, open councilors, etc.) and I'd say there are a lot of ways you can meet like-minded people. Lexington obviously puts a lot of effort into their events, and ASB does an amazing job carrying them out. Extracurricular programs really dig into each subject, and Lexington definitely wins most of the sports games. The only problem I'd have with this school is issues regarding safety on campus. There is a bullying problems, especially when it targets LGBTQIA+ students. Sexual harassment issues were not properly addressed which led many people to be hurt. Even after multiple accounts, the school did not attend these issues. But * in most * cases, the campus is pretty safe.Other Review10mo ago - Clara J. King Elementary School

"People are walking dogs all the time and it’s a pleasant environment for animals. However, be careful of coyotes because they are very present. Walk dogs close by and on a leash to be safe. Many coyotes have been seen in the area and reports of attacking small animals are not uncommon. Unfortunately with the river beds nearby, there isn’t much that can be done except being aware of your surroundings and being prepared. "
