My kid goes here and their English curriculum includes a section that is very clearly DEI Drivel. This curriculum includes assignments on the novel All American Boys, which has been heavily banned from many school curriculum for profanity, drug use, and alcoholism, and because it was thought to promote anti-police views and contain divisive topics. Additionally they had my student watch the film, The Hate U Give which supposedly depicts an incident of police brutality and one young woman's opposition to it, however the situation listed as police brutality starts with underage teens attending a party where guns are shot off, failing to follow basic driving laws, and the becoming belligerent/disobedient to a police officer. The "Brutality" occurs when the driver is instructed to place his hands against the car and instead chooses to reach through a window to pull out a hair brush which the cop mistakes for a weapon and subsequently shoots the teen. Rather than focusing on responsible behavior this curriculum chooses to highlight the last failing in a line of poor decision making by all involved. My child does not need this kind of week, victim-mentality mindset and while I condone responsible education on topics of equality I do not condone what's been taught recently. I do not recommend any school with this kind of biased education structure.

i was a students here a couple years ago, my teacher was great, everything great except the school would run out of food from time to time and sometimes the floors and stuff were unclean

The teachers, most staff, and leadership at this school are great. My kids have liked almost all of the teachers they've had. As a parent, teachers are personable and always willing to share feedback about progress as well as listen. The school clinic is a concern if you have a child that will regularly need their services. Currently, clinic staff is inexperienced and borderline clueless. They are often away from the clinic, hanging out in other areas of the school instead of using free time to refine skills and better learn their jobs. This is the biggest blemish on what is otherwise an excellent school. Personally, I just tell my kids to call home if they don't feel well.Definitely recommend unless you need clinic support, in which case just make sure you hold the staff accountable. Even the district leader of clinic staff is ineffective. She has no medical background and is very clueless about basic medical needs. Hopefully this changes soon and I can update my review.Otherwise Westerville schools are ok, but district administration seems like they don't care. Issues are treated like inconveniences. I've seen multiple instances where school staff are ignored and not provided the support they need (usually pretty basic stuff that would require minimal effort and no cost).I like the school but not the district... It's better than Columbus but I'm convinced Worthington, Gahanna, or Olentangy are better.
