VPA students are sequestered in their own private curriculum and treated like royalty while mainstream students are herded like livestock through their classes, getting bullied and ignored. "Variety of home styles brings in variety of residents, permanent and seasonal. Rules are strict and neighborhood monitors report the smallest of violations, such as leaving your garbage bins out late if you have a long day or putting them out too early,not pruning dried palm fronds immediately, and not planting garden areas to match neighbors. If you are not here full time or are away on vacation you must hire someone to be sure you don’t violate any of the very picky rules. Residents have little use of the club, tennis, pickleball or golf courses without paying exorbitant fees. Having said that, as an elderly woman living alone I feel safe in this development. The safety patrol is responsive and will come 24-7 if you have a concern. Not much of a neighborhood feel."

"I'm retired, but traffic is reasonable when going out for errands or appointments. University Town Center is very convenient to use for almost every type of goods and services."

"The beautiful vegetation, paved sidewalks, and walking, biking paths. People are friendly too. The area also offers scenic views of ponds which attract a lot of different birds. "

"I see people walking there dogs when I visit. Seems very dog friendly. appears to be an abundance of pets/wildlife. would be nice to see resident wildlife or rescue groups within the Meadows "

"We retired to the Meadows in 2009 and absolutely love it! Great place to golf, play tennis, ride bikes, walk, dine and socialize. Meticulous attention to facilities maintenance and landscaping. Like living in a country club, which is what it actually is, except that membership is optional. Very nice! "

"We've been in the area several of the past years. An abundance of restaurants and shopping & the new mall will be close. A short drive to the beaches & downtown Sarasota. Perfect location."

"Beautiful,tranquil area in The Meadows. Recreation availabile.....bike trails,walking,tennis and golf,swimming pools and lovely trails in the woods around ponds,etc. People from diverse backgrounds and geographical areas are very welcoming. This is a little bit of paradise in Sarasota....convenient to stores but an oasis to retreat to."
