"After living in a big city most of my life I find that the somewhat sleepy Stuart has the perfect medium as it offers the small town close knit community feel of a small town but also has loads of shopping and restaurants that you would find in a larger city. Stuart/Port Salerno is also a stones throw away from awesome beaches as well as larger cities with abundant nightlife. "
  • Vwbuss1
"I’ve not experience salerno to be a welcoming community. It’s pretty tight knit and people seem to stay to themselves. I’ve lived here 10 years and don’t know most of my neighbors."
  • Rourkiekc
"The area is residential but friendly with many great restaurants, parks, and beaches. These features make this a great place to visit family."
  • Tuwanna H.

"5647 SE Pot O Gold Pl in Stuart, Fl listed for $1000/mo. The phone # is from Va and doesn't work. The listing agent is Kkchouse, which appears to be a Japanese firm for architectural design. When I contacted thru Trulia, I received an email claiming the owner and his wife are in Nigeria on a Christian mission, no realtor, no one to show house, no keys, etc. Although the name used was the one of record for the property, the owner is a woman in reality. TRULIA NEEDS A REAL METHOD TO REPORT FRAUD!!!!!!"
  • Dawnz143
"Beautifully kept neighborhood - great schools - convenient to all stores - safe for children - quiet and private - price range excellent for Martin County "
  • L R.
"Very mixed value area with few rules to keep a consistent well maintained appearance. Some houses very small and inexpensive with furniture on lawn and others high end. Ugly to drive through. Lots of work trucks and boats parked in front of houses. Looks very blue collar but folks want high end prices! Have to drive to almost everything and very few restaurants of any quality nearby. Grocery is about 5 miles. Streets are poorly maintained with no curb or sidewalks. Street lights are rare. People tend to be friendly but a bit standoffish. My main complaint would be the very large diversity of home values and condition in the area... it just tends to look tacky with many houses poorly maintained next to a really nice cottage like homes, This hurts the values of the better houses."
